Business Manager & Financial Secretary
I joined IBEW Local 66 shortly after I hired on with HL&P in January of 1977. I started as a helper at the Magnolia Park Service Center, attended apprentice school at Berry Service Center and returned to Mag Park where I completed my apprenticeship made Journeyman Lineman and ultimately Head Journeyman Lineman. After becoming a Journeyman Lineman I got active in the Local was appointed Registrar and elected to the Examining Board where I served 3 terms. I was elected Business Manager and Financial Secretary to Local 66 in July of 1992, where I proudly serve today. International Presidents Barry and Hill have appointed me to represent Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma and Kansas on 3 committees for the International IBEW, the Utility Restructuring Committee, the Outside Task Force and the IBEW Drug and Alcohol Policy Committee. I have also been elected and serving my third term as President of the Texas State Association of Electrical Workers. My main duties include Organizing Local 66's Jurisdiction, representing all branches and members of Local 66 in grievances and arbitrations, negotiating Agreements and accepting dues, paying per capita and depositing the funds of the Local Union in reputable secure institutions.
